Thanksgiving games for the whole table
This page is the hub for the games on this site. Bingo, word search and trivia each have their own page with printable sheets. Here you can also make would you rather cards, a scavenger hunt and a checklist of activities for kids. Everything is built in your browser, with no sign-up.
A set code rebuilds the same cards later. Leave the code blank to get a new shuffle each time.
Would you rather cards
Each card gives two choices. Read one aloud and have everyone pick, then explain why. They work while the food finishes, at the kids table, or in the car. The adult set adds light, clean prompts about hosting, cooking and long dinners.
Thanksgiving scavenger hunt
Choose indoors or outdoors, then print the checklist. Indoors, kids hunt for colors, textures and objects around the house. Outdoors, they look for signs of autumn on a walk. Set a time limit and decide whether finding means touching, bringing back or photographing.
For an outdoor hunt, stay on sidewalks and paths, look without touching other people’s decorations, and keep an adult with young children. Do not pick or break branches from trees.
Thanksgiving activities for kids and mixed ages
The activities checklist suggests things to do while adults cook: gratitude notes, leaf rubbings, place cards, an interview with a relative, and counting chairs. Pick a few that fit the ages in the room. Very young children need an adult nearby for anything with scissors or the kitchen.
- Ages 3 to 5: leaf rubbings, handprint drawings, playdough pies, and gratitude drawings.
- Ages 6 to 9: thankful chains, thank-you notes, place cards and a family interview.
- Older kids and teens: running a game round, taking the interview, or hosting a trivia quiz.
- Give each child one small job at the table so that they feel part of the day.
Keeping the games kind
Games work best when nobody feels put on the spot. Let people pass, mix ages on teams, and keep prizes small. Thanksgiving means different things to different people, so a game about gratitude is more welcoming than one that rewards winning.
